Vegas showgirls (and other showgirls, too) are so beautiful and glamourous, and I've always wondered how you go about BECOMING a showgirl. I can't find anything on google, or wikipedia, or anything... It's kind of an out-there dream, but it would be amazing to be a showgirl. But I have absolutely no idea how you go about even trying out. Does anyone know, or can anyone find a site that gives info on this? Thanks!

Vegas Showgirls are professional dancers; many are educated and/or experienced in theater, music, and dance.
The tryouts are very difficult and tiresome.

I have watched them train and perform on "The Learning Channel", and it was no piece of cake. 2 pounds over weigh-ins and you are gone; schedule is very difficult; and only a few are selected. Watching it was exhausting.

Try contacting a Vegas hotel that has a show. From what I understand though, it's basically the ultimate career success for a stripper. So, the stripper thing probably comes first.
