i am getting a shot that only girls get. Its new do u no anything about it. What can it cause, does it hert. What does it do. And is it a good thing!

That's not much information. Are you talking about birth control shots (like Depo Provera) or the new shot to prevent cervical cancer?

If you are talking about the Cervical Cancer shot then no it does not hurt at all. You will have to go back for 2 more shots after the 1st. It wont cause anything and it helps prevent you from getting Cervical Cancer. Its a good thing, you wouldn't want to have to deal with having that.

Since it's only for women I'd guess it's the new one that will inoculate you against, I believe, 3 different strains of HPV which some studies indicate can cause (or is linked to) cervical cancer. So, yes, it's a good thing.

I wouldn't think it would hurt any more than a normal injection does. Just a quick pinch and it should be all done. Ask the nurse though if you're worried--some types of injections can sting a little when they're given and you'll want to be prepared for that before they give it to you.

the shot you are most likely talking about is called Gardisil. I've gotten the shot twice already (out of three times total). It is a vaccine for HPV (human papillomavirus), and STD that many times leads to cervical cancer.

that's a shot you were talking i think its a prevention for not getting pregnant some works for 3 months and some for 6 months...

all shots hurt a little. geting a vaccine against cervical cancer is definitely a good thing.
