Everytime i try to turn on the air conditioning, it doesn't work .

1) is the refrigerant full,
2)is the air con relay or fuse in order
3) is there power supply to compressor.or is the compressor faulty.
4)check condensor leaks
5)check condensor fan working or not.
6)check the thermostat whether at 16 degress F.

No, It is R-12, no R-134 till 1995-96 depending on the model. They are a good candidate for conversion and NAPA has a fitting conversion kit available. Get this professionally done as it is labor intensive and some additional part need replaced, Accumulator and variable oriface. The condensor and Evaporator need to be flushed, Vacum must be applied and then servicing is not straight forward and should be monitored/tested by a skilled tech to ensure correct(variable) level is put in. Also the right oil must be serviced into system. Not a DIY project but can easily be done by a good shop. ASE Cert A/C since 1978

If you could add a little more detail... I could probabky help answer better. WHat are the symptoms?

Any air? Does the electric fan in front (behind the grill turn)? How long ago was the last refridgerant top up?

could be a few different things, a blown fuse, or low refrigerant charge, or......
