I remember watching this movie as a kid, these people witness either a murder or sacrifice, and then are getting chased the rest of the movie.

Yeah, it's 'Race With The Devil'...
I think Peter Fonda was in it.
It's about 2 couples on a road trip in an rv (motorhome) and they witness a sacrafise and get chased by the town. It's a great b-movie! I think it had that woman who played 'Hot Lips' in M*A*S*H in it too...lol
