Do guys find makeup 'sexy' or 'skanky'?

im not talking about like all out porn star makeup and stuff, just like some eyeliner, lipgloss mascara, stuff like that, to enhance your look.

alot of guys say that they prefer the 'natural look', and then they turn around and drool over the ones with a bit more makeup and date them?

There's a fine line you have to walk with makeup. You want just enough that it really brings out your natural features, or creates a certain 'look'. If in doubt, go lighter rather than darker. Also, use subdued colors rather than bright reds and such. Brighter makeup colors go into skanky sometimes (though they CAN be done right so they're very sexy) but neutral shades tend to do better.

You need to find make up that accents your color tone...thats the natural look you are looking for. It depends on what kind of guy you are trying to attract too. Use the make up to accent your best facial feature too...if you have pretty eyes use eyeliner and eyeshadow that draws attention to them if your lips are nice and pouty wear a slightly darker shade of lipstick...just don't over do it thats all.
Yeah the guys go for the girl who looks like a whore because they think she will be easy like one.
Same thing with your clothes, wear that accentuate your features instead of revealing them, form fitting...I'd rather have a classy looking lady that gets attention than one who just puts it out there for all to see. Where's the fun in that, it's a lot more intriguing and enticing to wonder what is under the clothes than to have you busting out of them or wearing virtually nothing at all.
You just have to find the style that fits you and work it.

Makeup should alway enhance not cover. You want to choose colors that compliment your natural skintone and haircolor. Use a light amount during the day, and a darker duskier look for evening. During the the day you want to hide flaws and enhance your good points. At night you want to go for a sexy smokey look, but make sure to blend so you look sultry and not "skanky".

If you go "natural," and enhance your natural beauty, I think guys like it more. I'd say stick to the basics though, and no skanky dark lipsticks and dark blue eyeshadows. Lip gloss is really pretty...shiny and light pink/clear.

I'm not sure about all guys, but I know my brother and his friends hate it when girls wear a ton of makeup. Sure a little is nice, but too much does scare guys away.
