You can write your own ticket to the corporate world by going for your Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) certification. I read that almost every student has a job lined up way before they graduate.

(You know the IT guy/gal they call when email won't work, or the server needs upgraded, or the system is locked up and my password won't work.... that's the person you call!)

g-day!

The same names can mean different things,
Or they could both cover the same material,
at different levels depending on the school.

You need to get the course catalog & see what's included.
Engineering may focus more on hardware & science on software.
The catalog will usually describe where programs are headed.
But it's very difficult to tell if you're new to the field.
Look at the course pre-requisites if they seem similar.
Ultimately, talk to the department or counselling staff.

they are very similar... almost identical...

my father is a computer engineer at the Ford Motor Company and he majored in computer science...

there probably are minor differences... but not enough to impact your career... right now jobs in computer engineering isn't as hot as the 90s... but still decent...

if you love computers then pick one of those majors but if your considering them b/c you heard there was money in the industry then i suggest you pick something you enjoy doing...

my sister took it and didn't like it.. b/c you basically sit infront of a computer for 8 hours and mess with computer languages... and it requires constant training and learning b/c these languages become obsolete fast...
