I'm trying mobil 1 with a K&N oil filter for the first time(about 2,000 miles ago). I used to go to the dealer. Is the K&N any better than the toyota filter?

The best would be a fully synthetic oil like Mobil 1. In the Toyota I would use 5W-30 summer and winter.

if you really want it to last id use Mobil one synthetic oil in it ,and change it around every 7500 miles, that's the best oil on the market right now,its expensive but its worth what is cost, because of what it does, good luck hope this helps.

10W30 and the brand depends on how much quality you are looking for. Your highest cost motor oils are supposedly the highest quality, but if you have budget issues as many do, just stick with the weight and gage price as you go.
