First of all, do you have anything legit on your resume? Are your parents fully aware of your decision to send out your resume and do you have a professional headshot to go with it? You also need to write a cover letter stating your purpose and no offense, but it needs to be written in very proper English with no mistakes.
The reason I ask about your parents is because number one, your resume not only includes your acting experience and training information, but you will be sending lots of strangers all of your personal information such as where you live and your physical information (height, weight, hair & eye color) and for a child, you list your age, at least in your letter to the potential agents.
They also need to be completely on board with their role on your potential career. If you do get an agent, it falls on them to drive you to your meetings, your auditions, your jobs... every responsibility you incur falls on them to get you to.
That being said, you should know that most legitimate agents will not consider a new client without good credits, training, and/or a personal referral from a current client, a friend, or someone like that who's opinion they trust.
Try using this info to build a resume: Check out actorsaccess.com. You can also see if your state has a film alliance, society, or several of them as some states do. Sometimes they post audition information for projects filming locally. For theatre, you can go to backstage.com or http://www.actorsequity.org/castingcall/... If you find the audition on the Equity site, you still may be able to go, as long as their not taking appointments from equity actor's only :-) On backstage.com you have to pay to get all of the info, but the initial search is free and you may be able to see enough info to find out the rest on your own without paying. Backstage also has many listings for spec commercials, films, student projects, etc.
Get some more credits to your name and then come back and ask how you get an agent and we'll help you out. Don't forget to say what state you live in.
Good luck

The 3 matters to position on an performing resume are -- one million) your enjoy (suggests, advertisements, and so on.), two) your coaching (voice trainer, dance categories, drama categories taken at tuition) and three) Special capabilities (like tightrope running, juggling, dialects, and so on. Some individuals comprise references however that is simply to take in area and so much administrators do not touch references. You placed your so much spectacular phase on the most sensible of the web page (and an performing resume will have to under no circumstances be greater than one million web page), and early on, it is feasible that your coaching is extra spectacular than the record of suggests you might have performed. As quickly as you may have a extra spectacular record of suggests, it will have to come first. Don't fear. All commencing actors begin off with quite empty resumes

Hi,
this question comes up multiple times daily. If you do a search here on answers you will see other answers to this question. I answer this question a lot and so instead of writing the same or similar answers, I have created a 28-page ebooklet that answers pretty thoroughly your question.
Just go to http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/acs-blog.html , sign in on the right side of the page and you can download it for free. It's called: What It Takes To Become An Actor.
The second resource you might want to have a look at is this page: http://www.actingcareerstartup.com/how_to_get_an_agent.html . It takes you through a process that I used to get two agents and a personal manager in a short period of time.
Hope this helps!

Start in school. That's how nearly all the famous actors of today got started. When you go to school this year make sure your electives are in school theater of some kind. Get involved in school plays. If that won't work, look up the word theater in the phone book, you are bound to find local acting clubs and playwrite theaters. Join in and get started. Work your way up from there, they can teach you all you need to know.

It will do you no good to send a resume anywhere if you don't have any training or experience. Take some classes.

If you don't know this you aren't ready to do it professionally.
Do you live in NY, LA or Chicago? If you don't you can forget it altogether. If you love acting you can act all you want for free.
