Look for "cupping" caused by bad shocks, that means some parts are worn down and the next part is raised. Bald spots on the inner or outer tread caused by improper alignment, less the 3/32 of tread left. Use a tread gauge or a penny, put lincolns head side into the treadline, if you can see the top of his head, replace the tire. Bulges in the tire mean tread seperation with age, replace the tire. When in doubt, have a tire shop take a look at them

If your tires are wearing in an uneven pattern such as the edges or in the center, or if the overall tread of the tire is worn down considerably. If you are not sure, take your car to a trusted mechanic and they will tell you what signs to look for when you need to replace your tires.

On your tires there is a "wear bar' It is embedded between the tread. the tread goes around the tire and the wear bar goes across the tire. when your tread and the wear bar is even, then it is time for new ties.

Tire tread is only one factor. Look at the side walls, are they showing cracks? Are you losing air? Is there uneven wear?
