Ok So Led Zeppelin - Greatest Band Ever. Innovative, Influential And Endlessly Talented. They Had THE Biggest Impact On Hard Rock, As You Said They [Along With The Rolling Stones, In My Opinion] Perfected Rock & Roll. So If You Were Going To Compare Them Based On Musical Talent, Led Zep Would Win Hands Down, But The Ramones Are Being Overlooked Here. They Very Much Created Punk Rock. Sure The Stooges And The New York Dolls Were Around Before Them, But They Were Predominantly Protopunk. The Ramones Made Simple, Stripped Down, Raw Music Out Of Boredom And This Was Something A Whole Generation Worldwide Could Relate To. Sure Their Songs Were Basic And Instrumentally Simple, But Their Ideals And Their Attitude Spawned An Entire Subculture, Not To Mention That Without Them, The Sex Pistols Probably Wouldn't Exist. I Think The Ramones Definately Played A Massive Role In Rock Development. We Have To Remember That Most Metal, Hardcore And Emo Bands Of Today Were Influenced By The Early Punk Rock Pioneered By The Ramones.

Led Zeppelin, they practically created hard rock. Ramones are good too but Led Zeppelin is better.

Led Zeppelin played the biggest roll in HARD rock development. Iggy and the Stooges were around before the Ramones so i'd give more cred to them before the Ramones

Led Zeppelin for sure... if it wasn't for them, rock as we know it today wouldn't be the same. And I give more credit of punk music to the Sex Pistols, although of course The Ramones were crucial to it too.

Zep over Ramones. dont get me wrong i love the ramones. But the biggest role in rock development i think you might have to look deeper. Elvis, like him not one of my favs, actually i think brought about the real ideal of rock and roll and the rebellious ideal of what rock and roll is. I watch my mom rock out to Elvis and see how crazy the fans went over him and think about how one guy drove parents crazy because this man had such an impact on teenagers. My hats off to Elvis.

Ramones and Kiss were in the right place at the right time, proving you don't need talent to make it...Led Zeppelin on the other hand...no gimmicks, or ruts... just amazing talent...times 4
