Persian, or Farsi, is the official language in Iran (formerly called Persia). A variant of Persian or Farsi, which is called Dari, is one of the official languages in Afghanistan.
There are also minorities of Persian speakers in Turkey.

Persian people are from Iran. Iranians are from different ethnic groups and more than half of Iran's population are Persian . Persian is the official language in Iran . Actually the word Persian say two things : language and race . Some countries, such as Afghanistan and Tajikistan speak in Persian but they are not persian people . when somebody call themselves persian, they are from Iran. I'm a persian man. I'm sorry because I can't write English well.

Farsi and Persian are one language, Persian people call their language Farsi(or Parsi in ancent times), but in west it is called Persian. you can notice the similarity bertween them.
Iran and Persia in one country too. always Iranian call their land Iran (even in ancient times )but it was called Persia by western untill 1935 ,after that Iranian government wanted UN to change the name to Iran.
