Someone else used this logic already:
let x be the smaller of these to odd integers then x+2 is the larger.
x+(x+2) =92
2x+2 = 92
2x=90
so x = 45 and x+2 = 47.
Now my question is, are there two consecutive even integers whose sum is 92? Why or why not?

let x be the first odd integer
x + 2 is the next odd integer
x + x + 2 = 92
2x = 90
x = 45
so the two numbers are 45 and 47
