What happens if the parent is unable to pay the fees due to low income?

Yes, they do, and they find a way to afford it if they "can't", taxpayers are not responsible for parents who don't parent their kids.

Mine was there, I didn't pay. Have you ever paid for anyone to be in jail? I don't mean through taxes. I know that court costs can be paid by a person in jail, for having to take them to court. No clue about kids though. Sorry.
Check the laws of your state, you have a computer, just enter juveline detention fees ________, the blank being the state you live in.
Good luck with your kid. Mine still hasn't straightened up and she is no longer a juvie. She isn't allowed here, either, so I have been through this plenty.
