Good question. Voting at present is a complete waste of time and effort, as the politicians are all bought and paid for by the big corporations. Wait until AFTER the Big Changes come which will return us to Constitutional law, and THEN you can vote and make a difference.

Being a citizen of your country you should take pride in your country and want what you feel is best for it- hence voting for a candidate of your choosing...
You should take an interest in taxes and health care etc as they will very soon (if not already). Also young people have a unique view of the world...they have just come out of the education system etc ....

Anyone who cares about what the government does should vote. It is the personal responsibility of citizens to vote so that their governments do what the citizens want. Maybe if everyone voted in the U.S., we could be working toward a third party that goes beyond the boring back-and-forth bullshite of our two-party system. We could accomplish good for humanity instead of destroying it.
Hey Jennie, did you or the current administration research Iraq before the war? You gonna blame a Democrat for hundreds of millions of unnecessary deaths?

Mostly it is Dems who want the young to vote, which is because the young are more likely to simply believe the propoganda that Hollywood and the (moslty) liberal media put out without researching it, and therefore much more likely to vote Democratic. The young (generally, not every single young person, of course), are more likely to be seduced by rock concerts and catchy, hip, slogans.
I won't say young people "should" or "should not" vote. I believe it is important for us as Americans to take part in Democracy and make our voices heard. HOWEVER, weather old or young, if someone doesn't thougroughly research first (preferably through an objective resource like www.votesmart.org), and read up on the news, it is WAY better not to vote than to have an uneducated vote based on emotion only, or how your parents voted, or who was at "Rock the Vote", or which candidates you saw interviewed by Carson Daly (sp?). I, personally, study just as hard researching candidates, and trying to contact them through their respective youtube sites (they all have videos on there, try to look at the serious ones, like their speeches and such, not at the rediculous ones just there to make fun of them), as I study for a class, which is why I'm glad I have the Summer to devote to it. Then, when they are elected, if you want them to do certain things, or not do certain things, email them and bug the heck out of them, or join groups of like minded people, (AFA Action committe, Moveon.org, ect...) groups can often get more done than an individual.

Young people are idealists. Idealists are influenced by Marxists professors. Marxists professors promote Democrat candidates. For a better America, please, young people...stay home on election day!
