According to some research, age 15-17 is considered Young Adult, and may be treated as a self-serving passenger, not requiring an adult. < In the USA > Other cultures permit over puberty, which is 12-13 years old, Australia being one. So, if you're 15 or older, most Taxi's will probably take you, if you have the money.

Not planning on running away, are you?

If the cab driver cares, he'll probably be suspicious if you're under age. He'll be especially suspicious if you meet him somewhere at 2:00 am in the morning.

Don't run away. There are other avenues for your grievences.
