There have been acually a few that are wonderful:
Tom Petty: Highway Companion- It's a really sweet album, slightly upbeat in rhythm but it' mostly Petty's thoughts on aging, but still wonderful. He's never lost it.
David Gilmour: On An Island- Not Pink Floydesque at all. It's very much his own sound, very jazzy and sweet. He still has his signiture guitar solo
Paul Simon: Suprises- More rock than his past stuff
Rush: Far Cry- They're still about the greastest rock band that is still together and even though teh new album was more metal than they usually are, it's still the signiture Rush progressive sound.

In 2006 Tom Petty put out an album called Highway Companion. It's brilliant. It's became one of my favorites of his.
Same year, David Gilmour (from Pink Floyd) came out with On An Island. If you're into Pink Floyd at all, give it a listen.
This year, Paul McCartney released Memory Almost Full. It isn't a favorite of mine, but good none the less.

How about anything by Leonard Cohen. You may not know his name, but he is a Canadian Folksinger with a deep gravely voice. You have heard many of his songs recently if you watch movies at all. Check out Hallelujah, First We Take Manhattan, Suzanne, (A personal Favorite) Joan of Arc, (Another one) There Ain't No Cure for Love, ohhhh, so many that I really shouldn't be attempting to list his entire discography in this space I suppose. His last album was Dear Heather back in 2004, but they are re-releasing his earlier work in a remastered format, with extra material stuck in (to tease me - I had already gotten this stuff on Compact disk and now I have to go buy it all over again to get the extra stuff they slipped on it - sigh -)
If you like Van Morrison, check out the album he did with the Chieftans. His version of "She Moved through the Fair" is downright ethereal, and Ragland Road is exactly the way I hear it in my head.
I'm not surprised you like Bobbie, but don't neglect his kid's stuff (JaKob Dylan, with his group the Wallflowers. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jakob_Dylan
