At one time, pigs were much more dangerous to eat than cattle. This was due to a flesh born parasite called a tricina worm. This worm laid eggs in the muscle tissue of pigs, and if not cooked well enough, could cause the eater to become infected with a malady called tricinosis. This ailment has been known to cause death in some persons. Since the advent of laws regulating what farmers can feed pigs, meat that is raised in the USA is much cleaner of this parasite than in years past. Tricinosis has not been eliminated, but has been curtailed a lot. So in conclusion, both are safe if well done, pigs are more dangerous if eaten rare than is beef.

But they're both soo delicious, that it doesn't matter if they're both dangerous to eat. I wish I had pet pigs and cows, so I could raise them to be grade A dinner! Yuuuuummmmyyyy!

I'd prefer to eat a cow---you don't have to bend over so far. But it IS a longer walk around to kiss them afterwards

Oink, Oink, Oink. Pork as it needs to be cooked well, but both could be dangerous if tainted during the slaughter and packing process. It's best to cook to recommended temperatures to be safe.

Pig. They are toxic-they eat their own poop and each other. High in cholestorol and guaranteed to increase blood pressure
