Not very often but the movie Pursuit of Happyness....that guys story did it for me.

I watch the people on Extreme Makeover and see how much these people deserve a NEW shot at life: a life that is a little more fair and even handed. A life where others know that there is hope, especially if you are willing to work for it. I have cried tears of sadness for them, I have wept tears of joy for the benevolence others have shown them. It does make you realize that if there are others out there who can triumph despite the odds, then maybe life really isn't so hard for yourself.

What a great question! Believe it or not I hear stories all the time. I am a hairdresser and of course my clients spill it all to me. But you know, that's okay. I am reminded of my many blessings and when I hear their's and I can pray for them and try to help them through their difficult time. So many of then have become a wonderful part of my life.
What's funny is that I seem to attract people that have had a similar childhood as myself. We can help each other out.

So I try not to compare myself with others.
No matter how seemingly innocuous...this habit has a subtle way of making one vain or bitter...
