Ice?? Iron??

My wife spilled wax from a candle all over our carpet one time. She used a paper towel over the wax, and then an iron on top of the paper towel. It melted the wax and was absorbed up into the paper towel. It actually worked!!! Maybe the same will work on the couch.

placed an ice cube in a plastic bag and carry it on the wax till the wax will become brittle. you could then then chip or brush it off with a stiff fingernail brush. Repeat as mandatory. the bigger project would be if the wax is coloured and has stained the fabric. I even have had some luck with marvelous™ upholstery cleanser; different spot removers additionally paintings to various levels.

I use an iron, not too hot, and put an absorbent cloth on it and just iron it off. The heat will melt the wax and the cloth with absorb it.
