Oh yes. And I very politely return their call at a time when I know they will be less then chipper. Most of my friends are smart enough to get the message the first time.

No-thank goodness. No one wants to be around me-even on the phone-first thing in the morning. I stay not so chipper until past noon. Who would volunteer for that job?

Yes. I use the line from When Harry met Sally..."No one I know would call me at this hour." Even though I know exactly who it is by the caller ID.

Except I don't get many chances to use that, since it's usually my mother that calls early then gives me grief for not being up doing all kinds of chores and making use of the day (toward housework)....I won't say the When Harry met Sally line to my mother, I have more respect for her than that.

I will, however, say it to my sister, who takes after my mother.

If I feel that I MUST sleep in, no matter what, I will take the phone off the hook.

Once in a blue moon, if I get fed up with the "Why aren't you up and why are you so moody?" I hang up, and that pisses them off. And I think, so what?

All the time, for some reason nobody can get it through their head that I'm not awake and chipper until after 12. (physically awake yes, but not mentally)

yes, my mother will call me early in the mornings that i don't have to work causing me to have to get up, but if i call her on a morning i have to work she will still be in the bed

yes my sisters i don't get the chance to talk to them during the day so they call me at night when I'm getting sleepy

noo....usually people call me on day time and at night i put the phone silent so no one will awake me lol!
