Me and my boyfriend live together. We have our problems like some people but for the most we usually work it out. He is the only child and he is use to being alone. He loves his video games, he'll play from morning to night. Just today he told me that he wants to be alone. It's not you he said but it him and he just rather live life alone. He also says that his mother never married, she is alone and she is happy. Yes we been together for a while we have a house cars I mean numerous things together and now he says this. Is it me? I cook ,clean.work and still spend time with him and take care of children. Need a little different out look. I have prayed. I am very torn about this.

He sounds like a loser. I think that he wants to live alone is just an excuse. Any guy that plays video games from morning to night is immature. Find someone better.

It is not you, it is him. Give him some space for couple weeks, but then talk to him. Tell him how much means to you and the children and that you would not like to lose him. His mom might be telling him that she is happy, even though she is not. Maybe she doesn't want him to feel bad for her.
Good Luck

You need to just do what he says. You can't make someone do something they don't want to do. It's hard, it's painful, but you just have to accept it. i have been in a similar situation - I pushed and tried to make it work and he ended up being bitter and we really ended on not a very positive note. i think if we had just parted ways amicably at first, it would have been much less painful and we might not have bad blood between us to this day.

Tell him you're happy that he wants to be alone, hand him his video games and steer him to the door. If and when he grows up, he can come back. You don't need this in your life.

he is totally used to having his alone time. its the way only children work. without our alone time we kinda freak out. it's totally and completely NOT you tho. just make sure he has a little bit everyday and he'll be fine.

He wants to be alone, so leave him alone. Whats there to decide? At this point it doesn't matter wether it's you or not.
