with your parents. you can have all the financial support that you need. no one could disturb much when you are studying. if you need help in some homework, they acould actually help better than friends. plus if you have problems, you could always approach them and they would be very happy to comfort you. plus, it is much better to live in your own home. it is much more comfortable, hence, it would help you study better and more efficiently.

Definitely do not live with your parents. It doesnt' matter if you don't plan on any partying. You will feel left out because people would have formed cliques. If you happen to be high maintenance (there's nothing wrong with that) and you have to have your own room and/or bathroom or happen to be a light sleeper, you may not like the dorm, although I think the sacrifices are worth it. Another option would be to find an apartment within walking distance to the university. If the place is far away, it won't really help much than living with your parents. Actually, I take that back. Freedom and independence are part of college experience so that you will feel free do discover yourself without constant pressure from your parents to go a certain way.

Stay with family, you are saving money by going to a Community College. So no use of spending your money on a dorm when you can stay with the family. When you transfer to a 4 year college then it would be fine. A 4 year college would be great to have a dorm so you can socialize. Just think of your community college experience as a time period for you to save money. You will be grateful for that.

I lived with my parents. I could study better, not be interrupted with stupid requests or other students. Didn't have to worry about the noise of parties. Didn't have to share a room with a roommate I didn't like, ma and dad were handy for money. The study conditions were just better. I went to friends dorms. It was a zoo. That is my opinion. I knew once I graduated from college and got a job I was out and with their blessing.

I am not familiar with any community colleges having dormitories. Obviously there is a significantly lower cost to living at home with your parents. The advantages of living on campus include more opportunities for developing social relationships, ease of participation in study groups, proximity to the school library, less commuting time, and greater participation in school activities.

If living with your parents offers you the opportunity to save money and still be sane than by all means stay living with your parents. Save, that being the key word. If you are not saving any money, than it defeats the purpose itself and perhaps it is time to get your own place. I would take advantage of the opportunity to stash money away while in school.

My teacher used to tell me if you want to enjoy, use your dad's money and stay as far as possible from your home. But if you are concern with hdad's finances stay home and even get a part time job while studying.
