Money laundering and conspiracy to commit money laundering. The prosecutors recently failed to get the other charges (violating election laws) reinstated. No trial date as far as I have been able to discover.

I don't know why they keep going after him. The democrats "won" that seat back. By "won" I really mean they did everything in their power to make sure a republican wouldn't be put on the ballot. You can email me if you want to know how they screwed a conservative district out of a true representative of the people.

he was accused of misusing campaign contributions and money laundering. I believe he was recently cleared of the charges by a district court, but appeals are pending. I heard just a short report and nothing since.

He has numerous charges Most are related to Graft.
I think there is a Frontline episode that shows the Abraoff Delay connection. They were bilking Indain tribes out of millions claiming they could get them a casino.

Money laundering. He was attempting to make it impossible for Democrats to ever get elected again, especially in Texas (where, you will recall, he orchestrated mid-term gerrymandering). Ironically, his former House seat in the Houston area is now a Democratic one.
