“If you see your path laid out in front of you -- Step one, Step two, Step three -- you only know one thing... it is not your path. Your path is created in the moment of action. If you can see it laid out in front of you, you can be sure it is someone else's path. That is why you see it so clearly.” ....Joseph Campbell.
We can see very clearly during the day, but at night we can certainly see further, even at the stars far away. Darkness is not so bad after all, and deep within us, when we close our eyes, we can find darkness, but could we also find a star? Where are you looking for your star?
Thanks for your comments!

vision is what happens to you after you lose sight of yourself.

For me, sight lies in learning to truly see though knowing we cannot see everything - or anything at all as others see it. Painting teaches one to see better, and see more. Hunting teaches you to constantly explore the whole field of sight. But I think it is imagination that give us vision. With that we can go far beyond what we merely expect to see - and see the wonders of the wilderness within.

A very "Jungian" question, with a sprinkle of Dr. Seuss thrown in...
"Get your tickets now to the "Sight Vs. Vision" Fight of the Century!!!"
I have a "vision..."
That one day my "sight" will be corrected with Lasik Surgery...
So that I may one day see the stars again, clearly...
"The stars, Jim! Do you see the stars?!?"
(aagghhhh!!!!!!!) (sigh) (fade to black)

And, despite providing so many words to suit each occasion uniquely, words like, see, look, behold, observe, perceive.. etc... the vision does not operate, though they have sighted their ability (the self awareness !).
Yes, perhaps, consciously practising eyes closed, might open up the vision !

well I personally rather like the dark lonely place in me. I used to fear it and fill it with an imaginary god. Now its a place of solice. So in some sense the darkness is a light a shining refuge.
