No. Like anything else good in life, a good mate is not "created for you" - you have to earn a good mate.

1. You need to identify what YOU need in life (the step most frequently missed), 2. Become the person that attracts what you need most in life, 3. Date those you might suspect will meet your standards until one is confirmed. 4. Stop dating those who do not fulfull your needs (Notice I didn't say to attempt to "fix them"), and 5. grab the one that does meet your needs. If you keep attracting those you don't need, go back to steps 1 and 2. And by all means, avoid having children until those steps are complete.

Well, personally I don't think there is a soul mate, per se...
I have had a lot of different relationships and each is unique..

However, I remember a wise old woman asking me a very
serious question about whether or not I loved my fience. Well, if you hesitate even a little (as I did), it should be a clue to yourself that you are not sure....
Really loving someone is a special feeling. It is not boring or feeling like doing something because you should or it might be nice.
There seem to be a lot of people that you could make a life with, but they are taken or busy or something. Really a soul mate is someone who knows you and wants the best for you at all times and who actively works toward your happiness as well as their own. Now of course that has to go the other way,too. You should feel very happy when you are with this person and having fun even when you are talking seriously. If you are talking to each other that is good. Lots of guys don't talk much, so ... it is

There are for a select few a person who grows with you throughout your life. For the rest there is either you alone or you with various soulmates who represent that section of your life or a combination of the two.

My parents found soulmates in each other. They have been together, married, for 50 years and met 2 years before that. They have had businesses together, been in the same clubs and of course, had a family together. That's a lot of togetherness. That is unique and unusual.

My sister seems to have found the same as have two of my brothers. I and my older brother have not been as fortunate, but we are also more educated than the rest. Coincidence? Destiny?

Signs...you feel a pounding in your chest and have to be with the person and they feel the same about you. The lust lasts for beyond first 2 months, then 2 years and then 7 years. If you can get over these three trials then this person is a lifelong soul mate. Otherwise it is a stage stepper soulmate.

In my beliefs, people have several soulmates. This tends to deal with unresolved karma between the souls. They can be your mother, sister, girlfriend/boyfriend,child, neighbor and so forth.

Then there are twin flames. These are two halves of one soul that have been split apart since the beginning of time, that go through lifetime after lifetime trying to resolve their karma, until they finally find one another. It can take several lifetimes for this to happen.

I am sure there are many signs. The question is, is one's mind aware enough to see them? Constanly seeing synchrinicities in your lives, seeing things related to them, that wouldn't be just coincidental or obvious...

I think most of all....you wouldn't have to ask...you would just know. =) You would love the good and the bad about them and truly accept them for all they are.

I believe that everyone has a soul mate (maybe not just one either) ...I don't necessarily believe that everyone marries their soul mate though! Oh and you will know because you will have an instant connection with each other that can NEVER be broken!

Yes there surely is, and its a feeling like no other. I had mine for 43 yrs and 5 months, until cancer took him, but I know someday I'll be with him again.
