that's so funny. I'm watching spongebob with my kids right now.
I've heard of the "theory" that sponge bob and Patrick are supposed to be gay.
there are several episodes that the expose their butts to each other or they are all the way naked. lol
it's a cute cartoon and we should just leave at that. people really try to over analyze things

What else would he be? The only significant females on there (as I remember) are a squirrel and a puffer fish. I'd hang with Patrick and Squidward, too if I were him. Seriously, I don't know how anyone can call an animated character gay. It's over my head. I just think it's a cute show for kids

Basically he's another asexual cartoon character with a male best friend, so some "dirty minded" indivisual decided to pick out really stupid things about the cartoon.
I too watch Spongebob at my old age of 23, lol, and I find the "hidden" adult humor quite hilarious.

You could probably find it really easy on the internet. If you watched it, there's an episode where Spongebob and Patrick become "husband and wife" to raise a baby clam. Maybe not the only reason.

Probably because of the episode where Spongebob and Patrick were "parents" taking care of a clam. Spongebob was the mother and Patrick was the deadbeat dad lol

The creators of Spongebob had put him in a school video on tolerance. The video also said it was wrong to hate people for being gay, and it prompted Christian conservatives to claim that Spongebob was gay himself.
James Dobson I believe was one of the first to publicly claim it, and when he got ridiculed he claimed he was misunderstood and that Spongebob wasn't gay, but too tolerant of gays.

Well he has a girly voice, seems way too close with his friend Patrick, he lives in a pineapple under the sea, he skips, has a really girly laugh, he's wimpy, and it looks like he wears mascara.
