Today I went to a garage sale. The item was 5 dollars, I gave the lady a 5, she gave me 5 back thinking I had given her a 10. I told her no. How many of you would have pocketed the money she tried to give back?

i wouldve given it back unless i didnt notice until i was down the road....then its a done deal.

i wouldn't have pocketed the money because she may count it later on and realize that she had given u too much then come back to you asking for it meanwhile thinking you're a cheat. that would really suck. i work retail and sometimes people give me too much money i always return it, and sometimes they forget their credit card too.

I would have given her money back and told her. Not trying to be a goody goody or anything. I just don't believe in stealing and really despise thieves.

i always give back the money when they give me the wrong change. i go back to the store if they didn't charge me for something.
