Try these drills to see if they help you: http://www.geocities.com/aescougarcheer/basics.htm#td Read the articles as well, since they may include more information that can help you. The Coach Wayne site alone has a dozen or so articles about the bhs.

Try to figure out what it is that is keeping you from getting that bhs. Are you not jumping back enough because you are afraid? Are your hands in a bad position so that you cannot get into the handstand? It would be easier to know how to fix it if you knew what is wrong. Check with your coach to find out if you do not already know.

Good luck!

Hm...

Well. I have been my teams tumbler for a year now only because I take Gymnastics now.

The first time I tried doing a backhandspring, I landed on my head and it hurt. haha

but

Then I took gymnastics, and now I can do Back Tucks and Backhandsprings, and extensions. I have only been taking these gymnastics sessions for about 2 months.

So my advice to you is...Take 1 session of gymnastics in the Tumbling area. It can help you in the long run and it can be a big improve ment =]
