Not always...sometimes it might send the wrong message to the other person or make him/her lose interest. It's better to just be open and direct.

Like everything in relationships... it depends.

In highschool I was in love with a girl, who in turn loved everything about me. I could tell she liked me, but she never would date me. Years later I found out the reason she didn't want to date was because she knew she could have me, and wanted the chase. Again later in college, having learned from my past, I played hard to get and el'suavo with a girl, who lost interest in me. When I finally got around to making a decive move, she was surprised and figured I'd have made move sooner if I was truly interested. By delaying I was put in the "friend" bucket.

So, like I said, it depends a lot on who you are and where you're going. Playing too hard to get has a good chance of getting you absolutely nothing.

Sometimes. It could back fire. Sometimes if you play
"hard to get" then the person who is trying to pursue you may give up, which could be bad, especially if you actually like them, but it has it's benefits because then you know that the person really likes you if they continue. My advice: secretly observe the person and see if their passion for you is still up. Then weigh the options, should you continue playing hard to get, or just give in?

Sincerely Yours,

Hitch
