Listen if people didn't wear clothes could you imagine the the excretions that would be all over public areas? Quite frankly things leak and there's clothes there to absorb but if everyone was naked and you sat down on a public chair there would be all sort's of excretions and diseases right there to great your naked self. It is much, much more sanitary to wear clothes.

There are plenty of nudist colonies around. Go live there. I, for one, am not ready to be sitting down for dinner in a fine restaurant and look at some guy's harry butt. However, nudity in the US is a big issue because, as a nation, we are, puritanical hypocrites. What I mean is that, gambling and prostitution, for instance, are illegal, but go to Vegas, and it's OK to do either. In addition, nudity here is not regarded as a natural thing and it is used to gain money, as in the case of most Hollywood films. That is what makes sex/nudity dirty. I have lived in three European countries and the US, and I can see the difference. Also, in the US, due to lack of education, many follow the crowd, so if the evening news tells them something is "wrong", they'll believe it. I think the US is a great country; unfortunately education leaves a lot to be desired for.

Like many things now being used by religions, nudity's downfall was the ego of humankind. All humans are not physically equal and they get less equal as they advance in age. Then there enters the rules, "I have to cover up my Physical lacks, so you have to cover up too, because I've got the power."
It's not religious at all....though the churches love it and the stories, and sins, and evils they derive in their collective imaginations is near universally accepted.

Good answer Sharpie hahahaha
Anyway i don't understand the logic of it myself. Humans are weird creatures. I mean a statue/painting of a naked male roman soldier balls hanging out n all is considered art but a naked man in a magazine is pornographic?????
I'm not sure where this thing came from but i would look at our society in history in its attitude towards nudity. Just to really mess with you consider this,,,,the french are very open minded about sex and nudity on their televisions. If they saw the Janet Jackson wardrobe malfunction they wouldn't give that much of a hoot. But in America ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Ever since man sinned, we've covered up our bodies, because they are holy and in order to prevent lust and such. It is for our own good. God bless.
"Then their eyes were opened, and they both realized that they were naked. They sewed fig leaves together and made clothes for themselves." Genesis 3:7
