after the bettas mate??? Doesn't take long for them to mate, but how long does it take for the eggs to grow into betta baby fish?

Also, how many betta fishes usually come out? Into the fry???...100, 1000?

It depends some on temperature, but basically 2 days for them to hatch and another 2 days for them to become free swimming babies (fry). If your fish have meted, you really should be getting ready to house and feed the swarm of fry. In fact, if your not ready now, your a little behind.

Once the fry are free swimming, you can feed them infusoria and microworms for the first week and gradually add newly hatched brine shrimp slowly feeding more and more shrimp and less and less of the other foods until after 2 weeks they are eating only brine shrimp.
