Reincarnation? Should that be the scenario, and you are me in a former life, then one would argue that you have lived and died in vane, thus I exist as me, and some other was once you! So, now in this context, you are not you but someone else who once was you, and his question (your question) is therefore irrelevant!

you cant "be" someone else in a former life, the whole concept of reincarnation is that "you" live another life here on earth again, your soul/mind/spirit, just in a different body and lifetime, so if you are someone else, you are not reincarnated,
