I bought some stamps awhile ago (when postage was still 39 cents). The stamps don't have 39 cents printed on them. Do I need to get additional stamps in order to use these ones or can I just use one of these stamps? The only thing printed on the stamp is First Class U.S.A.

Those are 39 cent stamps, as the ones now say either .41 or "forever"

You need to add 2 cent stamps, or it wont be delivered.

The "forever" stamps do last forever though...

Older nondenominated stamps are still worth their original value. So, the 39 cent stamps that didn't have a number when they were first released are still worth 39 cents.

See http://pe.usps.com/text/qsg300/Q604a.htm for pictures and values of the stamps.

With the change in postal rate, the design of the FIRST CLASS stamp changed. The stamp now has the enitre flag displayed on a light brown/ gold background so the postal authorities would recognise a 41c FIRST CLASS from a 39c FIRST CLASS.

You may be talking about the new stamps that always retain their value -- they always count as First Class postage, even if the rates increase.

If you bought them from the post office, they're valid.
