My wife has never complimented my green eyes. come to think she has only given me about 6 compliments in 16 years of marriage. is this normal? i tell her how beautiful she is more times than I can think. is green eyes a turn off??

It is important to like and love yourself if you want to love someone else, but being so obsessive about the beauty of your eyes is peculiar. Vanity? And you've been holding such a ridiculous grudge for 16 years!!!!! Hope is all right there

I doubt very seriously that your eyes are a turn off. Woman don't usually compliment on the eyes on a man. This is more of a compliment to women. I think just the fact that she has been by your side for 16 years should be a sign that she loves you. Eye color shouldn't matter. Why don't you just ask her why she doesn't compliment you on your eyes or ask her if she finds them a turn off. After being together for so long you should be able to be open enough to ask.

There are many way's different people show love. Where one may thrive on compliments another may not. We are all different. Your wife I bet show's her love in other way's, if you think about it. I love compliments but for me the need to be in contact with the one I love is stronger. I mean if he is away, I NEED to hear from him & that gives me a great feeling of being loved. Your wife maybe never grew up with her Mother complimenting her Dad and may not at all be aware of how you feel. You should bring it up to her and let her know that is something that gives you a loved feeling. Green eye's are gorgeous, so I don't think she has anything against them.

I have green eyes and my hubby tells me how pretty they are, but if never did it would not bother me.some people never learn the art of giving or accepting compliments, don't stress over it!

Personally, eye color really doesn't matter. I think that a person must have a personality and look half way decent. Also be a fun loving person. Just keep being yourself and I hope that things get better for you and your wife. Good Luck!!!

Green eyes are gorgeous....I have them I should know! People notice different things though, I have a thing about eyes. Maybe your wife notices other things about you. Maybe it just isn't in her nature to compliment freely.....you should just talk to her about it. Ask her.

They are my absolute favorite...used to tell my husband that
all the time. He had the most friendly "sparkle" in his eyes.
He passed away 2 years ago, now I just see it in pictures
of him and think how sad it is that I won't see his beautiful
green eyes again till we meet up in the next life....

Personally i love green eyes. Most people like colored eyes!!
She probablly likes them, but just doesnt compliment on them.

I've been around my wife for 15 years, married for 12 years so far and she tells me from time to time how she loves my green eyes.
