How did math turn out to be like it today,how can it be use to solved or invent things?

Commerce made math. what equals what else?
2 sheep = 1 pig or whatever. you need to set values in order to determine your worth. it started with drawing lines in the dirt to represent pigs then those many lines took shapes to represent a bunch of lines. It started many thousands of years ago with the domestication of man. the abacus is a good tool to get a feel for ancient math and its still used

I consider the history of math and its origins one of the most amazing subjects. Math has been used for thousands of years because it useful. The Babylonians used if for commerce. The Egyptians did some amazing things for use in construction. The Greeks and Chinese put it on sound theoretical grounds.

There is a book called the "The Math Gene" by Keith Devlin that is well worth reading. He theorizes that math is a natural outgrowth of the linguistic need to abstract. He compares math skills to gossip. It is an interesting theory.

because the universe is mathematically based, therefore the study and use of mathematics to 'solve' things is a natural consequence.
