I keep hearing conservatives refrence this point over and over again, especailly in refrence to Edwards?
so does that mean every rich Republican hates the poor? if they cared, they would just give all their money away... right?
or are you a special situation?

Why just conservatives? There are some wealthy liberals out there too.
In fact, very few people today are really Christian. What Christianity asks of people is not very in tune with modern values.
Jesus told his disciples to go from town to town announcing his message, owning nothing but the clothes on their back. Whoever thinks Jesus is a capitalist has not read this thing through.

You might not be rich , but you`re getting ready to give plenty whether you like or not ; as the legislation by the democrats is moving forward in Congress for a tax hike , soon !!!! I don`t think anyone likes to have worked hard all their life to support their family in a comfortable lifestyle , only to have some Whiner , that did nothing with his "time for planning for the future", but stand on a street corner `til all hours of the morning holding their crotch . Then 10 years later the guy that busted his butt working , planning , and saving has something nice he worked hard for , and now this whiner who has nothing because he did nothing now says` its not fair ; the guy that worked his butt off to get ahead has more than I do !!! ........SOCIALISM 101

The liberal politicians' answer to your question is that they do not give their money away, they take my money away and redistribute it in order to pander for votes. Edwards is a money taker, not a giver.

I DO think it's silly that the government forces me to do it.
If you want to donate, donate YOUR time and money, not mine.
