Of course there is. Specifically in the Muslim countries of Sudan and the Middle East. Where have you been?
But because slavery is officially prohibited everywhere, transactions are not done publicly in bazaars, but privately.
In fact a high placed Saudi Arabian couple were arrested in London on slavery charges not very long ago. But I do not know what happened afterwords as these things are usually hushed up quickly, on national interest grounds.

not only "chattel slavery" but real "old fashioned" slavery exists in the world today. The main centres are Africa, Asia and Southern America- but only in parts of Africa it is a perfectly legal procedure, and is in fact encouraged and financed by the local government. That place is Sudan. The government there uses slavery as a means of rewarding loyal tribes- they get "license" to raid, rob and enslave everyone else- not just opponents but also neighbouring countries. The slave trade ranges all the way to Africa's west coast- Mali and Nigeria If you consider "modern" type slavery then the main centre is (communist) China. It takes the form of industries operated by the Army- where the workers are ordinary citizens drafted for military service, except that instead of Army training they get to work in a factory for 3 years- for no pay or next to nothing. Which kind of explains why chinese made products are so cheap- free labour. Also explains why so many people invest in China- and become "selectively blind" to facts...

Yes, Slavery of all sorts is prevalent in all countries around the world. It is openly practised in places like Saudis Arabia or the Horn of Africa.
Sexual slavery, where the female does not see any of the money paid for her 'services' is in every country in the world. This is different from Prostitution where the woman gains most of the money she earns.
Some girls are sold into sex slavery as young as 4-5 years of age (for oral sex mostly) and for vaginal sex at around 8-9 years of age and older. Some are sold by their parents, some are tricked by friends or relatives into leaving home to get jobs as housekeepers or work in restaurants but end up in brothels. Others are just kidnapped.
"Work" or "Chattel" slavery happens in many countries, but is more prevalent in Africa, the Middle East, South America, Myanmar (Burma) and to some minor extent in the USA, although it is well hidden.

Slavery was a very expensive enterprise. Today's forms of virtual slavery are just as effective and more economically efficient. See the site below for information on slavery in today's world.
