Retail packs are still around. OEM versions mostly going to corporate users because a lot of them have not moved to Vista yet. Many corporate/business users stick to "tried and tested" and would rather wait for SP1 of Vista.

There are protection patches for all variations of abode windows each month. it incredibly is because of the fact the hackers/crackers do no longer end attempting to locate flaws so as that they'd use it to attack the abode windows OS it incredibly is extra suitable than in basic terms Microsoft attempting to place XP to take a seat back, rather some the hot utility's are already commencing as much as no longer artwork suitable with XP and thanks to hardware no longer being compatable. It in basic terms takes extra recent computing device's to deal with the workload. yet don't fret, XP nonetheless has various years left in it and a few say because of the fact it is so known that MS will think of two times approximately bringing it to a end. i understand cases are tricky and money is tricky to come back by using, or perhaps although i do no longer believe XP being the terrific(My opinion in basic terms) the extra recent computing device's have extra features than XP will in no way have plus the further protection constructive properties expecially whilst including a 64bit gadget. this helps the computing device, if configured suitable to deal with as much as 128gb's of ram. XP can in basic terms cope with 4 and a few no longer even that finding on hardware. Myself, i like Vista, yet do change it over to the XP mode on occassion. it incredibly is all approximately what you do with a computing device specially as to what you want in a computing device WG

You can buy them form Dell that way you can be sure they aren't bootlegs and it's form a source you can trust. Link to Dell's Windows XP offers (http://search.dell.com/results.aspx?s=gen&c=us&l=en&cs=&k=Windows+XP&cat=prod).
