The bonus points for yardage are too much. For one thing it's highly unlikely that a qb throws for 500 in a game so no one will every get that bonus, but there will be a fair number of 200 yard rushing and 175 yard receiving games.

This might just be a personal thing, but a field goal is a field goal is a field goal. I can see a bonus point for a long one (say 46 yards or more) but other than that I think it's silly. For that matter, a touchdown is a touchdown. Return touchdowns might change the momentum in a real game, but they are still only worth 6 on the scoreboard. If your real world team is down 10 with 90 seconds to go and you return a punt for a td and the point after, you still have to get the onside kick and then score or you lose anyway, momentum be damned.

It looks like you plan on drafting individual players at every position on defense. I have to admit I've never seen that. And hope I never do in any league I'm actually playing in. There is no way I want to be trying to decide from cornerback A (average 2.2 fantasy points/game) and cornerback B (1.9 pts/game but with upside!) in round 33 of the draft. Stick with a team D and maybe one individual defenseive player.

I wanted to say that the defense is getting the royal treatment in your league. You should have more offense (two RB and three wide with a flex spot for RB/WR and WR/TE).

Then, I read the answerer who had NEVER SEEN the defensive IDP format (picking Ray Lewis instead of the whole Baltimore team defense). There are many of them available in Yahoo! Private leagues right now, and also at www.scorsheetsports.com/football where I have had a team for 12 years. I won't play team defense ever again if I can help it. That's a cop out. Besides, I can have Zach Thomas, Keith Bulluck and Ray Lewis on the same team! THAT's a fantasy defense.
