If you have an old Rubik's cube, try the nail polish on it first, as many plastics can react badly on the solvents of nail polish.

When you decide you are going to risk your new cube, (after a test on an old on!) do your first little bit on a corner, and see if this plastic is also not reacting bad. It may go soft, the stickers may peel off, or it may discolour.

If the little test is proving good you can apply it on the whole cube, one thin layer.
Be careful not to glue the different parts together.

But better just handle your cube with a little care, do not scratch the stickers and replace the cube when it looks too worn. Nail polish is a big risk!!!
