If they want to help so much, and they are so concerned, why don't they give away every dime they have or make over the national average?

This is for jack09, who asked why I wasn't in Iraq. I WAS in Iraq, 2003. If I hadn't gotten into the car wreck while in college trying to get a commission, I'd be in Iraq now. My wife is in Iraq. You shut the f*** up.

Why are you not in Iraq? We Democrats fight for what we support, unlike Republicans who send others to do the dirty work for them. Money means nothing. Bill gates will give away most of his money, Oprah will also, they are both Democrats and both support Hillary. Hillary will raise the $500 million needed to win, Obama and Edwards will not.
If you support the troops and you support the occupation of Iraq, why are you not there fighting for what you support now?

You don't understand they don't give money there out there to get money. Take from the poor & give to themself. Millions spent ridding around telling you that there helping you with your life, I will raise taxs on the rich but then the rich pass it onto the comsumer us. I well make everything in your life better, better than what. It's fine don't screw it up. Like passing a amnesty bill that's good for us.What a pile they have no idea what it's like out here. After there town meeting an pledges of BS they take a shower to get us off of themself.

They want others to give money...and give them power. Liberals are less apt to donate to charities because they feel the government should take the money from those who have money and give it to those who don't, except from the Liberals themselves!

Why can't LIBERALS use logic in arguments?

HEY...They don't put much personal money into their campaigns. They raise money for this. The Clintons are "socking" money away over-seas to get ready for the changes coming, so they will not be affected if Hilliary gets elected! Liberals are crooks!

Because they're hypocrites. With liberals...I mean "progressives" they have a "do as I say and not as I do" philosophy. They also believe government is the best way to handle society problems at large -- a fundamental difference in philosophy from most conservatives. Yes, I really do believe this answer while simple is the most accurate answer.

Because it is their money. Although they do care about the poor it doesn't mean they are willing to sacrifice their own comfortable lifestyles. Seriously that's like me caring about the homeless, so to show it I bring 40 winos into my house so i can care for them but I ulimately get evicted and thus; become homeless too. You don't have to make yourself poor to care about the poor.

Because that action would not solve the problem: it would only take a mosquito-sized bite out of a problem the size of a giant elephant. Besides, I am willing to bet that they do give substantially of their own fortunes.

Like the rest of the Defeatocrats they like to give your money away and then take the credit for doing a good deed!

If you look at their tax statements, you'll see that they probably gave more to charity than most people do in a life time.

That being said, just giving people money does not solve their problem. Poverty isn't just a lack of money.

It wouldn't make a difference. I got curious recently and figured it out -- if we took the net wealth of the world's fifty richest billionaires, and divided it among the world's poor, each would get about $300.
