Let combined resistance be R
1 / R = (1 / R1) + (1 / R2)
1 / R = (R2 + R1) / (R1 R2)

R = (R1 R2) / (R1 + R2)

Rt = 1/(1/R1 +1/R2) --> 1/Rt = 1/R1 +1/R2 =(R1+R2)/(R1*R2)

So
Rt = R1*R2/(R1+R2)
