Depends on what kind of music you are interested in - I am from Germany - however, have never heard of any of the above bands.

Thirsty Moon, Jane, Novalis, Cornucopia, Gila, Eloy, Krokodil, Jeronimo, Abacus, Frame, Karthago, Satin Whale, Frumpy, Pacific Sound, German Oak, Blackwater Park, Lucifers Friend, Cosmic Jokers, Birth Control, My Solid Ground, Amon Duul and Amon Duul II, Grobschnitt, Can, Embryo, Tanned Leather, Guru Guru, Ashra Temple, Cluster, Diabolus, Dzyan, The Rattles, Electric Sandwhich, Epsilon, Gash, Brain Ticket, Tiger B. Most of the German bands I've listed are of the 70's heavy rock / progressive and experimental genre's known as 'Krautrock'.
