First of all, Roe v. Wade is not the current law. Hasn't been since the 1990s when Planned Parenthood v. Casey was decided.
Second, other than the Supreme Court protecting the right to choose, it's not a constitutional issue. So, you apparently don't understand the constitution either.
If Casey (and Roe, and a dozen other cases) are overturned, then states can completely restrict abortion and make it illegal. About a dozen states currently have laws on the books doing that. So, if the Supreme Court constitutional protections for the right to choose went away, abortions would become illegal in about 25% of the country.
And any other states would also be able to make it illegal.
So, most of them are actually correct, as a matter of law.

Uh, I'm pro choice but I'm not an idiot enough to talk like overturning Roe v Wade would make abortion illegal. It would require legislation to make abortion illegal. Roe v Wade prevents such legislation. Hence, making abortion illegal is in itself illegal huh? I understand the constitution quite well. Hobby of mine you see. Supreme court rulings too. Try me. But pick a difficult question next time.

But that is what you ultimately desire to do. Overturning Roe v. Wade is the first step to making abortion illegal in the U.S. That is why so many pro-lifers want it overturn. Don't give me that crap about leaving it to the states because that is a lie and if were true then what is the point of the pro-lifers? Abortion would still be legal but not in their states?

It's just a rallying point for them.
Most don't even understand what the actual law behind Roe v Wade is.
We have had Republican Presidents in Power for 27 of the last 40 years, and Roe v Wade will not be overturned. But it gives them another reason to hate somebody for something. Thats all.

Technically, you're right. The states would have the ability to determine their own abortion policies. States where abortion is rare would end the practice. Most other states would allow it to continue.
However, if you believe it truly is a constitutional right based on privacy, no state should be able to outlaw all forms of abortion.

it may very well be overturned and it would be just another of the many nails in the coffin of the republican party.
long after george w. bush is done destroying the republican party's chances of ever having leadership majorities in america, the court that he devastated will continue to do the job until the last republicans in america will those left on the bench.
