In F-12 (fine condition) it's valued at $1.00, in EF-40 (extra fine) it's valued at$3.00. The wear on a coin determines it's condition. This coin was minted in San Francisco and 43,090,000 were minted. Keep in mind that there were small and large mint marks for this coin, which could make a small difference in evaluation. Other than taking to a coin dealer, that's the best I've got for you.

The 1941-S dime is quite common in all grades and it does not seem to make much of a difference if it is a small or large S, the S does indeed stand for the San Francisco mint. the coin is worth more as a historical item than a money one. That was the year the U.S. entered World War II and it was the beginning of great changes to the world. The coin sells for a $1 to $4 depending on grade. If low grade dealers pay about 7 to 8 times face for the silver in it. keep it for its historic value besides the only place its value has to go is up.

Check it out yourself. My guess is that it's bullion value only.
