A Woman's Stride
By Semper Fi 83 7/14/07

God sat in Heaven,
Where he abides.
And He thought to create,
A Woman's Stride.
For a woman's pride,
He found in Eden in the garden He made.
When Eve gave Adam from the tree He forbade.
From there,
Man thought he'd push woman aside.
But she kept her pride in her stride.
She kept her pride in her stride.
Throughout history,
Over all creation.
It is she who carried,
And birthed the nations.
While men fought wars,
She fought for rights.
Man fought for land,
She fought for life.
She even let the man,
Keep his foolish pride.
For she controls them all,
With her stride.

Davee 777, read my profile. I do read the Bible, believe the Bible, and OBEY the Bible. Perhaps that's why I don't have the Holier than thou disease.

This is equally as beautiful as your last poem. It makes me feel really proud for the fact of being a woman, and knowing that somebody understands all that woman has endured. I really love the last 4 lines. I also love the title (lol). All women should really feel appreciated with this poem, and loved by God.

I am bowing down to your wife right now because she has the TRUE example of how a "REAL MAN" looks at a woman!!!
This poem is truly amazing. You wrote with passion, sincerity and love.
Like I wrote before, I am one of the many who are honored to have had the privilege of reading your work. God has given you not just a talent, but a gift. The gift of respect, trust, sharing and honesty in your writings.
Once again, THANK YOU!!

I don't know if this is appropriate, but I would love to have some copies of your poems if you want/can send them to my 360 address.

Awesome.

But in a Christian marriage, hopefully the man & the woman can match strides and walk together.

Blessings.

If Eve had just "strode" her smartly bottom over to ask Adam about what the snake had said, WE would not be in this mess.

IT WAS A PARTNERSHIP WHICH SHE BROKE BY NOT CONSULTING HIM.
