lol .. you name it
the internet tells us about soooooo many evidence that they are here, that it's just YOU failing to ever seen some.
of course such a highly doubful topic like aliens must come up here and then.
But people are worried.
Whom should they believe ?
I would believe my government, cause i've elected it.
If they would host some and fail to tell me they aren't trusworthy anymore. They have something to loose in case they fool you.
so whom do you trust in ?
a noname site on the internet, or people you pay for with your taxes doing their job ?
i would like to have a moderator in here and a ALIEN category where such stuff is moved into, cause parapsycologic does not ring a bell with such people constantly hitting this topic.

I haven't a clue.
I have never seen an alien from another planet, or solar system.
There must be aliens somewhere because all kinds of
people keep talking about them, and people just blurt out their questions instead of using the Search feature in here.
If a lot of people say that there are aliens, that must mean that they really exist...Right? I mean, if we took a vote, and it came out 51 to 49, then it would be a done deal, right? The
"aliens do exist" guys would win by majority vote.
My problem is i don't know what kind of hunting license you need to go after them.

It is in fact quite likely that extraterrestrial life exists. It is somewhat less likely that living creatures with characteristics parallel to our exist, though by no means unimaginable.
What is not very likely is that alien beings visit earth and fly around in space ships that people occasionally see. The distances between here and the nearest places where they might live are just simply too vast. It would take tens of thousands of years to make the trip, at the very least.
If there were evidence that extraterrestrial "people" had been here, it would be more obvious than anything we have seen, and it would be easy for people to agree on it.

The types of people who want aliens to exist are lonely; they find peace of mind thinking that there are others "out there" since the people "in here", are a dissapointment. Others are fearful and paranoid people who think the world is and has already been invaded by aliens. Some are even apocalytic types, who would die to see the end of the world, due mainly, to there unhappiness in the present life.
You could tell alot about a person by the questions they ask. Asking about aliens is like a grown up version of asking if there are tooth-fairies or santa claus. Grow up people.

They obviously want to ask a question but haven't bothered to check the boards. This may seem like a silly thing for them to do but I think that at least some of them are laughing in their beer about driving people like you into using intemperate language to ask a question. Don't let them bother you.
As to where are the aliens? Assuming any are in the solar system, would you think that they really want to be found, and don't you think with interstellar technology the would know how to be super stealthy?
Personally I think that the chances of aliens existing are very very high. That they would bother expending the resources to cruise interstellar space like a bunch of tourists is, I think highly unlikely.
cheers

Yeah those questions make as much sense as sending more troops into IRAQ and Afghanistan while the Iraqis take a two month vacation on our dime! Permit me to add another one. Why do we send over 12 billion dollars a year to israel in combined military and domestic foreign aid and never expect any of it to be repaid, not even the interest which is also included in their demands as well? I bet every jew on the yahoo board will complain about this post. At best you'll see the answer appear and at a later time you'll see it removed by yahoo for no apparent reason what so ever.

What's to say aliens don't exist? Human's exist don't we? Isn't OUR EXISTANCE enough evidence that possible on one of the trillions and trillions of planets orbiting trillions of stars in hundreds of billions of galaxies that maybe there might be life somewhere else? Those odds are better than any state lotto and we have people winning that sh*t everyday. The universe is an incredibly large place and you and I may not find any answers in our lifetime. But if people want to dream about life somewhere else in the cosmos...just let them. And who are you to tell people what exists and what doesn't? This is a public website that you DON'T own. If you want to take away someone else's right to ask a question that you think is stupid then they should have the same right to tell you where to stick it.

What is wrong with you? Who are you to say for certain that there are no aliens. I don't belive they have visited our planet, but i am pretty sure they are out there somewhere. And untill you can prove to me beyond a shadow of a doubt that they aren't real then i am gonna have to say.
I am sick of seeing stupid questions from people who don't know what they are talking about....

If they exist and are advanced, they are extremely far away. If they are closer, then they most likely are not as evolved as we are. But there is definitely life of some sort - humanoid, animal, or plant life. Of all the worlds in the universe, why should only Earth evolve a bacteria, a plant, a flower, a bug, a monkey, or a being similar to ourselves?

It is a fear of the unknown and isolation from other intelligences . While most people believe that there must be intelligent life somewhere out there its the fear of what would happen if that intelligent life arrived. Would it be caring, or create a catastrophe. We dont know but can only speculate and being humans quite often we think the worst!
