I posted a question quite similar to this, and most of the answers i got said that they too belive that god was the one who created the big bang... Seriously people small particals don't just randomly explode and create universes... do they.. no

Why can't people open your eyes and see that "God" is no longer needed to explain our world?
There was a time when the most venereated, holy and inspired men of the ages held the belief that the Earth was the center of the universe. How foolish "belief" can make us look. But truth-seekers like Copernicus, that courageous soul who defied the "common herd", proved beyond a doubt that the Earth revolved around the sun. Even then, it took generations for this insight to be excepted by the masses.
There will come a time when we will understand the nature of this universe and how it came to be. Then there will be nothing left for God to do.
Before you ramble on about the who created the Big Bang, please have the decency to fully innundate yourself with the current theories of physics when you post in this category.
By the way, I do believe in God; the fundamental difference between you and I, is that my God is not a limited, poor, punishing, jealous, and pitiful conception.

Many people do believe the universe was created by God. But in the science of cosmology, as in other fields of inquiry, scientists base their conclusions on observations, not on biblical or religious stories. Everything we know about the world around us---our knowledge about nature, the earth, and the universe---has been has been studied and analyzed using the scientific method. Scientists observe, record, experiment, make tentative conclusions based on the observations, re-test, and report their finds to their peers for review. This technique has resulted in all the technological, medical, and industrial wonders we enjoy every day, so we know the scientific method works. Using this methodology, scientists have determined that the universe is very old and began in this sudden expansion (the Big Bang), the after effects of which have been measured and are still going on today. Scientists cannot tell us what caused the Big Bang, but they know it happened. Some choose to attribute this to God, but most scientists attribute it to natural forces. That's because nature can be observed according to scientific criteria, and God cannot. Acceptance of God is matter of faith, and that's perfectly okay. Just remember that science and faith follow two different methods of acceptance---scientists base their conclusions on observations, the faithful base their conclusions on biblical or religious stories. And because the existence of God is a matter of spiritual faith rather than scientific proof, some people cannot automatically attribute the creation of the universe to God.

Stop polluting a science section with religious questions, especially ones which have long since been answered.
Here goes for the millionth time: you demand an explanation for the existence of matter, but you *assume* the existence of something supposedly greater, namely a deity. If you can't see the problem with that assumption there really is no hope for you.
Also contained in that assumption are other assumptions, for example that if science hasn't figured something out yet then "god" must have done it (the god of the gaps), and also that existence itself requires an explanation (the perennial "why" question could just as well be "why not?").
If you knew anything about quantum physics, you would realize that pairs of virtual particles are spontaneously created out of nothing all the time, then usually disappearing as if they had never been. The probability of more massive or longer-lasting particles spontaneously appearing is much smaller but not zero, and the probability of a universe-sized mass lasting billions of years appearing out of nothing for no reason is vanishingly small, but *still* not zero.
Next question., and try to make it a more original one.

Suppose we accept "It must have been created" on the face of it as a postulate:
Then it had to have been created by God. Or maybe two gods. Or a thousand gods. Or a million. Or perhaps just a 1/4 of a God. And that god must have been male. I mean, female. Or wait, maybe he has no sex. Or both? Anyhow, he loves us. Or, hates us. Or he just loves some of us...
Look, this is a science category. You're free to speculate on the nature of God as much or as little as you like. But since we have no physical proof of God's existence, or for that matter a concise definition of what God is, answering the question who created the universe with "God did it" isn't really an answer at all. It's just begs the question "Who's God?"

Just because you don't understand something and can't think of a better solution doesn't mean you have to resort to God. If your logic is, "I can't think of anything else, therefore, it must be God." then you've left no room for any other possibility nor the possibility that maybe we'll simply never know the answer.
Your question of "Why can't people realize..." is basically the same as, "Why don't people think like I do?!"
And just a couple comments on some of the other answers:
A) M theory explains a lot, not everything.
B) A lot of scientists believe in God.

its because one thing everything can be created with out god
and if u look at all of the ppl today because of scientist dont believe in god because of M therorie witch explains everything
how life could have been made
how life could have evolve
even how the universe was made we did this by studying the multiverse
so in other words reiligion can now be dinied so deal with it god could exeist or he coulden't and the "bible" exuse it was a book made by wack jobs so sorry, religion is now losing and science is winning
and also if god were to exist why is there no traces of them the could thruth is religion was made up by a pharoh who was scared of being overthroughed he said"i have a deel for u theres a thing called an after life and i can help u get to a better place" and then it spred.please dont take this offencive its what i found out so yeah sorry again
a)M therorie dose explain everything so shut up u probaly don't know the whole story. The formation of matter was caused by strings cramping together and the big bang wasn't created by god or else we would have saw it on our teliscopes one of the m therories therories is that in order for something to generate matter/anti matter it has to be visible so if god was invisivble he couldent do anything. and knowing human life forms you will say he just can
humans are so stupid we fight over belieghs when we could just stay "screw it who cares" but noooo we say we must know.......why wate our time on religion when we have serious threats like global warming, meteoroit apohus ect. in my opinion religion is a waste of time i mean seriously who gives a crap what happens when u die i mean your dead u cant think!
b)i know scientist beleive in god but there job sates they need to find the truth and cant let religon get in the way witch is why i gave up my beleighs in my calm no offence opinion releigion is an exuse for sometjing humans don't understand and all religion is good for is causing war and false hope thinking after u die youll still be alive how about your brain rots.
and also yes random exploding particals do create universes every seconds in diferent diamentions out of all 11 diamentions universes can be made simply all you need is matter and anti matterthats right u can make a universe in your lab u cant detect it because when a universe is made in a lab it would make its own space so yea dont start saying "do random universes made all the time, no" because have u spent your whole life studying advaned phisics of universes forming?because if u did u would understand everything im saying

Please take a science class. We have some good ideas about how the big bang occurred, and none of them involve stars.
And a logic class. If something had to create everything, what created god? And what created that?

dude, your question is not even a question of what created the universe. the 1st guy to answer is right in saying "something must have created God." according to you. This is you trying to put down the beliefs of those who don't believe in God.

Since the begining oposition has existed. JESUS raised the dead, gave sight to the blind and turned water to wine yet many did not believe and HE did all these miracles publicy. Man if he chooses not to believe will manafacture a justification for his unbelief. You are absolutely correct stating all buildings require a builder including the universe and this is scientifically testable by true science. Yet the BIBLE speaks of a false science. Stay with the TRUTH the benefits are out of the world...With appreciation james h
