You can't go swimming without a tampon. Pads won't work and water does not stop a period. The rule is No tampons=no pool.

Can I Go Swimming When I Have My Period?
Yes you can! You should not wear a pad, however, because it will just soak up the water. If you do go swimming while on your period, you should wear a tampon. One word of warning: In recent years, girls and women have been advised not to swim in the ocean when they have their periods, because sharks can smell a drop of blood from miles away. (Scary, but true!)

Do You Stop Having Your Period When You’re Under Water?
No. Some girls do find that they bleed less when they are swimming, but others bleed normally when underwater. To protect your swimsuit (and prevent embarrassment), a tampon should be worn when you go swimming during your period.

One caveat is to be aware that sharks can smell minute amounts of blood though the jury is still out as to whether women who are menstruating are attacked more often...but why chance proving that theory wrong (or worse, right!)? The pool should be ok...unless you have sharkes in it!

Its called use a tampon or don't go swimming.

Your menstrual flow will go into the water and contaminate the pool, its very unsanitary and also humiliating when you get out of the water and you have blood running down your leg.

FYI the water does not "hold in" your menstrual flow at all, the blood gets dispersed into the water so it only looks like its stopped or being "held in".

like everyone else. you can only swim in it if you're wearing a tampon. but other then that because you're under water, the pressure will hold the blood inside of you even if you're not wearing a tampon [or bleed less], but when you come back out you bleed more because all the blood that was held inside from the pressure will come out IMMEDIATELY after [its like double the flow depending on how long and how you deep you've been in the pool]. so its better just not to go swimming while you're on your period.

properly some human beings end some do no longer in ponds its kinda diff cuz if u chosen to no longer positioned on one in any case and u incredibly bled in the water no person would see till u have been given out then u extra suitable make a splash for a bush and a tampon. in any case swimming pools r a lil worse cuz each from time to time clorine could make u bleed extra stable so then u looki like a shark has bit u in the wter cuz water makes blood look worse than what it incredibly is. whilst it comes all the way down to its as much as u yet from my exsperience it may one factor u would desire to bypass up cuz of mom nature, and believe me mom nature does consistently like showin up whilst u have been given somthin deliberate.

I wouldn't go swimming while on your period w/ out a tampon, unless you're all alone in that pool! For other's sake, please wear a tampon.
