Yes...

I've always felt that THEY are out to get me...

Now if I could just figure out who THEY are...!

(besides my girlfriend, in-laws, employer, Federal, State, and City government, organized religion, extraterrestrials and other dimensional beings... and immediate family...)

Good thing I'm not the paranoid type...

When I was young, for one summer I mowed lawns to make some extra money. All that time alone on a machine and all those vibrations definitely wreaked havoc with my poor little mind. I began to wonder, what if my entire life was nothing more than one big conspiracy. Not a sort of Matrix, brain in a vat sort of musing, but rather that everything was physically real, but staged. All the people would be actors and everything that happened to me was completely staged and perhaps even scripted.

Then I got to thinking, what if my life were nothing more than a television show? This was all foolish enough, and I didn't really believe it, just thoughts that buzzed about in my head similarly to the blades buzzing beneath my feet. All innocent enough, just for fun. This began in the the summer of 1997, and this fantasy stuck with me through the winter and came back full force in the spring of 1998...the very summer that "The Truman Show" starring Jim Carrey hit the theaters.

Now, here came a movie with the exact same paranoia as mine, written up for Hollywood and starring famous people. It was surely designed to be a mind-****, but they had no idea what it would do to this young lawn mower from Minnesota. More than EVER did it seem that it MUST be true that my life was a TV show, and somehow the producers had discovered that I had discovered them, and made a movie just to mess with my head further. That was trippy.

I'm over it now. I think...

Yep, one complex conspiracy between the angel on my right shoulder and the evil on my left one.

Sometimes I can hear them talking, debating on what they should do next and how to continue influence me. And in the next moment, I can feel the pull of the strings I am attached to.

I even imagine them playing chess with my life or gambling. Oh no, the dices have been thrown! Lemme cover my eyes!
